G2 Web Services was a premium sponsor and exhibitor at the recent Merchant Acquirer’s Committee (MAC) Annual Conference at MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. David Landis, Vice President of Global Sales, Eric Tishkoff, Director of Product Development, and James Fisher, Client Manager, all represented G2 at this conference, which is specifically focused on the payment fraud and risk management industry.
David Landis moderated the panel “Global Brand Protection Program (GBPP) and Brand Risk Assessment Mitigation (BRAM) Panel from the Card Scheme’s Perspective” on Day One of the conference, which included speakers from American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. The panel discussed how card scheme rules affect acquirers, their merchants and their business, as well as current programs available for acquirers to help them comply with these rules.
Mr. Landis also presented during the second day of the conference on the topic of “Mitigating Risk in the New Payments Landscape”. The session outlined the changing payment chain and the host of new, complex risks it presents payment providers, including unknown merchants, unidentified third parties, and undisclosed transaction paths. Mr. Landis recommended best practices for managing payment risk management, particularly focused on due diligence, compliance and fraud protection.
