Post Categories: Blog, Events, News, News & Events

G2 founding partner, Robert Caldwell, spoke last week at the first annual International Acquiring Forum in London. As a speaker on the panel “The Dark Side of Acquiring: The Temptations of Volume from Non-Traditional Merchants”, Bob was joined by other industry experts, including: Alan Goslar, Chairman of PAY.ON; Stanley Skoglund, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for Credorax Group; and Catherine Cummings, Senior Director of the International Centre for Missing and Exploiting Children who each presented on different topics pertaining to the overall panel theme.

The G2 presentation, “Changing Payments Landscape: Understanding the New Risks”, focused on the rapidly evolving payment channels, global regulations and intermediaries, and the risks associated with each. Key highlights of the presentation included affiliate, cyberlocker, and marketplace risks, along with G2 Web Services recommended best practices to allow acquirers to balance those risks against regulations and their own risk appetites.

In partnership with the Electronic Transactions Association, the International Acquiring Forum was created to address the globalization of merchant acquiring and the importance of acquirers and PSPs in the increasingly complex payments industry. The conference brought together CEOs, senior executives and industry leaders to discuss strategic issues and provide a forum for networking and business development. G2 was pleased to be a part of this inaugural conference.
