G2 Web Services sponsored and spoke at the Visa Europe Acceptance Risk Forum in London, England. The conference, held over two days, brought together the acquiring community, regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and NGOs to discuss the latest industry trends and solicit feedback from Visa members.
Keith Groves, G2 Vice President, participated in a panel titled, “Criminal Tactics and Organization”, chaired by Carl Degroote, Lead, Third Party Risk for Visa Europe. During the panel, Keith presented on “Identifying and Avoiding Merchant Bust-Outs”, which focused on “siloed” fraud data, a common issue in the industry occurring when acquirers experience fraud loss (often as a result of bust-out merchants and fraud rings) but are unable to share that fraud data with other payment providers. The presentation suggested that a solution to this problem would be to create a secure, neutral, global database for acquirers and payment providers allowing them to share fraud data and cross reference merchant data in order to prevent future fraud. Other members of the panel included John Horton, President of Legitscript and Troels Oerting, Head of European Cybercrime Centre, Europol.
G2 Web Services was pleased to sponsor and participate in this leading industry event.
